Type of Fire Extinguisher

ABC fire extinguishers are very versatile because they can put out different kinds of fires. The “ABC” rating explains the types of fires they can handle:

Class A: Fires involving everyday materials like paper, wood, textiles, and plastics.
Class B: Fires caused by flammable liquids such as cooking oil, gasoline, kerosene, or paint.
Class C: Fires involving electrical equipment that is still live or running.

In addition, there are CO₂ (carbon dioxide) extinguishers, which are mainly used for electrical fires. They are often found in computer server rooms or areas with sensitive electrical equipment because they put out the fire without leaving any residue.

HOT SMOKE TEST

Maxcon’s Smoke Control System ensures safe airflow management during a fire by directing smoke out of critical areas. Through hot smoke testing, we verify that the system performs effectively in basements, tunnels, stations, and large buildings — providing reliable protection for both people and property.

ROOM INTEGRITY TEST

Maxcon’s Room Integrity Test checks a room’s ability to contain fire-fighting gas by measuring air tightness and leakage without releasing the gas itself. Using tools like expandable door panels, calibrated fans, gauges, and specialized software, the test predicts how long suppression gas would remain effective, ensuring safety and compliance in critical spaces like server rooms and control centers.

HEAT AND SMOKE TEST

Maxcon’s Heat and Smoke Test ensures early and accurate fire detection using advanced smoke and heat detectors. Smoke detectors (ionization and photoelectric) respond quickly to smoke, while heat detectors (fixed and rate-of-rise) react to dangerous temperature increases. Together, they provide reliable fire detection that triggers alarms and alerts, protecting lives and property.

FIRE HOSE TEST

Maxcon’s Fire Hose Test ensures that hoses perform safely and effectively under pressure. By filling the hose with water and testing for leaks, bulges, coupling issues, and durability, we guarantee compliance with NFPA 1962 standards. Each hose is pressurized and held at service pressure for three minutes to confirm its reliability in real fire situations.

HYDRANT TEST

Maxcon’s Fire Hydrant Test ensures hydrants deliver sufficient water pressure and flow for effective firefighting and safety compliance. By measuring static and residual pressures, flushing hydrants, and verifying flow rates, we guarantee hydrants meet NFPA 291 standards and remain reliable in emergencies.

UV DETECTORS

Maxcon’s UV Flame Detectors provide rapid fire detection by sensing ultraviolet light from flames. With a response time under 4 milliseconds, they are highly accurate in spotting fires caused by gas, liquids, metals, and chemicals, making them ideal for gas turbines and hazardous industrial environments.

CO2 WEIGHTING TEST

Maxcon’s CO2 Weighting Test ensures fire extinguishers are properly filled and ready for use. By comparing the extinguisher’s actual weight to the stamped gross weight, we verify its charge level and confirm it meets safety standards for reliable performance in emergencies.
